When should I book my newborn photography session?

It’s best to book your newborn photography session during your pregnancy to ensure availability around your due date. Once you are booked in, we ask that you contact us once your baby is born to confirm the date and time. Newborn Photography sessions are best done in the first 2 weeks of life to ensure we capture baby’s sweet newborn baby features and those curled up poses we all love while they still sleep long and deeply.

How long does a newborn session take?

Please allow up to 2.5 hours for your session including feeding, changing and settling baby.

What should I bring to my newborn session?

Please bring a newborn pacifier if you have one. You will need spare nappies and anything you need to feed baby. We have everything else here in the studio, including adorable hand made headbands, hats, bonnets, wraps and props.

Can we get a family photo with the baby?

Yes! Parents and siblings are welcome to join in. Individual photos of each parent with the baby are included as well as photos of you all together.

What if my baby doesn’t sleep?

We encourage you to feed baby either right before you leave to come to the studio if you live nearby, or feed when you get here so that baby is full and sleepy. We have everything in place to ensure baby has a warm, calm environment and we are very experienced in handling baby with the least disruption possible. If baby is very unsettled and we are unsuccessful at getting the photos we need to fill your gallery, we’ll invite you back to complete the session another day with no extra charge.
